Hotopp Associates Limited was founded in 1984 by Michael J. Hotopp, whose award-winning career in entertainment design spans more than 30-years. Since its inception, the company's principal philosophy has been to create environments and events that are visually distinctive, technically innovative, user-friendly, and memorable.
For each project, the company's dynamic group of designers works in a constant, close partnership with clients to help them achieve and to surpass their expectations. Much of the team at Hotopp Associates have their roots in theatrical design. Together they have created memorable scenic environments for a number of theatrical events and attractions. These include The Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular; The Shoji Tabuchi Show; Enter the Night at the Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas; the Pokemon Live! Tour; Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary Show, and the opening of the Animal Kingdom. Concert events include Mariah Carey's Butterfly tour (as well as the corresponding album launch at Chelsea Studios); Simon and Garfunkel’s Concert Event of a Lifetime at the Paramount Theater; A Tribute to Marion Anderson at Aaron Davis Hall; and PBS's Liza Minnelli - Live from Radio City Music Hall, which garnered a 1993 Emmy nomination.
