I am a Personal Chef with over 25 years of experience. Having worked as a Professional Chef in Europe and the United States, my repertoire encompasses an extremely wide variety of dishes, meals and diet-specific needs. Although I have done my fair share of cooking as a Private Chef, with the impact of the Coronavirus on the world, and especially the Las Vegas Metropolitan area, it is now time to offer my culinary services in a whole new way!
Since I was a young teen, growing up in San Diego, watching my mom cook when she came home after working all day, I loved cooking. My mom made us a wide variety of meals, and it intrigued me. In high school we all took a skills assessment test, and to my delight my profile came back telling me I was well suited for a career in either the Culinary Arts or Computer Programming (which didn’t delight me at all!). Obviously, the Culinary Arts was my choice…and I have never looked back.
After completing my course work the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, I began my internship at the Four Seasons Inn on the Park in Houston, Texas. They were so happy with my work ethic, they hired me once my internship and graduation had been completed. During my time there, I worked under the Executive Chef who approached me with an opportunity to move to Switzerland for a culinary position at a Swissotel in Basil. What began as a one-year opportunity turned into 12 years in Europe, where my love of all things food and cooking grew.
My return to the United States came when I was offered a position at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. It gave me the chance to bring my young, growing family back to the States, and offered a yet again, new challenge and opportunity to advance.
