Founded in 1844, the World Alliance of YMCAs is the oldest and largest movement for young people in the world.
The World YMCA, based in Geneva, Switzerland, supports approximately 120 national YMCAs and four regional Alliances across the globe. The YMCA empowers young people, aiming to provide them with safe spaces and opportunities to take an active role in transforming their communities. Collectively, the YMCA Movement reaches about 65 million people every year.
In July 2022, YMCAs around the world adopted YMCA Vision 2030, our first-ever collective Mission and Vision. Together, we are working to positively impact Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, a Sustainable Planet and a Just World for young people and our communities.
