Taiwan Africa International Service Association (TAISA) coordinates our volunteer teams in Tanzania and Kenya, initiated by Fr. Jean-Pascal Lombart in 2008. Our mission is to foster collaborations between Taiwanese volunteers and local partners in Africa, emphasizing mutual trust and addressing development needs across various fields such as education, technology, and healthcare.
In education and technology, we collaborate closely with schools in Kenya and Tanzania, tailoring ICT education to their specific needs, including basic ICT programs, computer classroom establishment, coding curriculum introduction, and information learning community formation.
In healthcare, our focus extends to enhancing overall health and preventing diseases in Engaruka, located in the Arusha region of Tanzania. Our projects encompass health education, collaborative construction planning, health check-ups, mobile healthcare services, and physician training, all designed to deliver tangible improvements to the health and healthcare environment for tribal residents.
