Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland (RMHC SEQ) provides accommodation and support services for seriously ill children and their families attending treating hospitals in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
Our Ronald McDonald Houses helps families in the midst of physical, emotional and financial stress. It also gives parents the chance to draw hope and comfort from other families in similar situations, while being supported by dedicated and friendly staff and volunteers.
RMHC SEQ currently has three houses in Brisbane; one at Herston beside the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, one at South Brisbane near the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) and Mater Mothers Hospital and a House in QCH that provides 10 emergency overnight accommodation rooms. The organisation also has Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located inside the Gold Coast University Hospital and QCH.
RMHC SEQ also operates the South East Queensland division of the Ronald McDonald Learning Program which helps children with serious illness catch up on their missed education following lengthy hospital stays and absence from school.
