LandFund Partners is a Nashville, TN and Helena, AR based farmland investment manager that focuses on acquiring high quality, irrigated farmland above the Alluvial Aquifer in the Mid-South region of the United States and leases it to top tier tenant farmers that grow a diverse set of row crops. The Firm currently has one open vehicle, the evergreen Soil Enrichment Fund.
The Firm was founded in 2013 and has nearly 38,000 cultivated acres (90% irrigated) across 3 states and $300mm in agricultural assets under management. Over the past 10 years, the LFP team has developed an intimate network of tenants, farmers, consultants and advisors and has grown into one of the most notable farmland managers in the southeast region. All of the properties in SEF are farmed utilizing at least one regenerative farming practice and in 2022, LFP was awarded the first ever carbon credits for on-farm practices for a farmland investment manager. LFP has an active approach to farm management and the Helena, AR based farm management team is in regular communication with the tenants, intimately involved in the farming activities and integral to the deal sourcing and underwriting processes. The Firm was founded by John Farris and Chris Morris following Mr. Farris’ positions with the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation where he focused on global food security. The LFP founders along with Billy Ussery (Director of Farm Operations) have worked together since inception and have looked at billions of dollars worth of farmland transactions together.
