The Gloria and Hans Driessnack Digital Library is a 501c3 non-profit Virginia Nonstock corporation established in honor of Lt Gen (ret) Hans H Driessnack, known as the father of Earned Value Management, and Gloria Driessnack, his wife, who was a librarian. The organization has been set up exclusively for educational purposes focused on the creation of a digital library. The library shall promote the digital availability of material relating to the performance management of projects, programs, and/or portfolios as defined by American National Standard Institute (ANSI) standards. The non-profit shall facilitate digital storage for online access of historical information by researchers, educators, and practitioners. Collections shall include both qualitative and quantitative data. The library has the goal to use and/or create technology, such as decision science tools and large language models, to enhance the availability and usefulness of material to the broad community of researchers, educators, and practitioners.
The library has been created approximately 60 years after Maj Hans Driessnack, US Air Force officer, laid out a criteria approach for Earned Value Management while also creating the concept of cost accounts, known today as control accounts.
The library is being established within a Microsoft Teams site @Library.Driessnack.org. The site is planned to be active by 1 Sept 2024. If you are interested in gaining access to the site, please follow the Library's LinkedIN page. We will contract you with further instructions. If you are interested in providing material within a collection in honor of an individual or organization, please also follow the LinkedIN page and send us a comment.
You can contact the Executive Library, John Driessnack, at john.d@driessnack.org. Please, no solicitations, we will not respond.
