By developing platforms of inter-related businesses, we have been able to successfully develop significant efficiencies and management expertise in these specific markets and thereby achieve superior profit margins. We have combined this operating style with a long-term investment and management philosophy that is predicated upon the assumption that, unlike private equity groups, we will use our own capital to acquire and develop businesses with no plans to exit “down the road”.
