Henry Simon established Simon-Carves with French engineer François Carves to modernise the iron and steel industry by pioneering the use of by-product coke ovens. At the start of the 20th century Simon-Carves was the leading British company building coke ovens and sulphuric acid plants. By the 1950s its operations extended to gasification, fertilisers, petroleum refining and petrochemicals plants. The last quarter of the 20th century saw Simon Engineering companies actively involved in pharmaceuticals and the nuclear industry.
Today, Simon Carves Engineering is focused on providing specialist Engineering and Procurement Services in the Process and Energy industries. Providing engineering solutions for the polymers, chemicals, renewables and nuclear sectors, Simon Carves Engineering exercises the benefit of our decades of experience and knowledge in the delivery of our projects.
