Founded in 1852, YMCA Buffalo Niagara is the second-oldest YMCA in the United States and one of the oldest institutions in Western New York.
As a non-profit organization, the Y helps bring much needed services to the Western New York community. The YMCA is supported by membership dues and program fees, community fundraising, the YMCA Turkey Trot, grants, and annual earnings from its Endowment Fund. Each year the YMCA allocates $1.6 million to ensure equitable access for all in the community.
The Y serves the Western New York community with six wellness centers, two overnight camps, and over 40 child care locations.
