Established in 1998, the RACPD is a thriving and successful provider of apprenticeships and nationally recognised qualifications to the Royal Artillery, other Service personnel and the wider Defence community including veterans and dependants.
We offer over 40 civilian vocational and professional qualifications to help improve an individual’s skills and knowledge now, and in preparation for their next career. We cover a wide range of subjects within our courses, from logistics to telecommunications, teacher education, Functional Skills and leadership & management.
Serving military personnel and veterans can access their learning credits, either Standard Learning Credits (SLC) or Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC), to offset the cost of their courses. We provide some free courses and, because we are a charity, we provide some courses at subsidised rates.
Learners can do their learning online, in the work place and even in one of our Learning Centres. We have Learning Centres across England and in Germany, many of our staff are ex-military and that helps them to understand the learning environment and the unique issues that military personnel are facing.
