LOROL is the train operating company responsible for running the London Overground network under a Concession Agreement with Transport for London (TfL). TfL and LOROL work closely to deliver high quality rail services.
LOROL was formed by combining two of the most reliable and customer focused railways in the world and is a joint venture company between MTR Corporation of Hong Kong (50%) and Deutsche Bahn AG (50%) of Germany (DB). DB’s interest is managed by Arriva, the division responsible for regional passenger transport outside of Germany.
Since 2007, we have been actively transforming the London Overground, modernising the service, improving facilities and providing a better, safer, more environmentally efficient and comfortable experience for our passengers. Our vision is ‘developing our railway together, proudly connecting communities around London’ and we aim to achieve this through our people, our greatest asset.
TfL employs a dedicated team to work alongside LOROL at our main office in Swiss Cottage and they take a close interest in how we deliver the service; ranging from the punctuality of trains and customer service at stations, to our readiness to operate new routes such as the East London Line and the soon to be transfered West Anglia Inners route.
