MORE THAN 155 YEARS AGO,
BEFORE THE PORT, BEFORE THE MISSILES,
BEFORE THE ROCKET LAUNCHES
In the shadow of our historic lighthouse, modern Space Flight was launched. Start your exploration of the history of Cape Canaveral and its link to America’s space program at the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse.
Our lighthouse stands proudly on Space Launch Delta 45's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, the World’s Premier Gateway to Space. The lighthouse is owned by the United States Space Force and is still maintained as an active aid to navigation by the United States Coast Guard.

Our amazing 151 foot tall lighthouse is still active after over 155 years protecting our mariners and coast. She has evolved from oil lamp, to automation, to electricity over the years and still continues to serve. Since she sits on the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) property, the public is not allowed to drive on site without an escort, therefore all visits must be booked via our website, several days in advance.
We offer tours for individuals, adult and children's groups of 10 or more, and educational tours for all school aged students. All tours take 2 to 4 hours, depending on the tour you select and we offer them several days per week.
Open House for CCSFS badged personnel occurs every Wednesday from 10:00 – 1:00. Hangar C will also be open during these hours.
Once you get here, you'll get to explore our Historical Lighthouse, Keepers Cottage and grounds, and visit Hangar C, where you’ll see restored launch systems and rockets, some of which can only be seen here. Lastly, you’ll get to tour the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum, and visit our great little Gift Shop!
