Pine-Richland School District is a public school district that is located in the most northern portion of Allegheny County, PA, which serves more than 4,600 students K-12.
The district has seen its population double since the early nineties. As a result PRSD is noted for having first-rate facilities amid a strong academic reputation.
The district covers 21 square miles. This region of Allegheny County is characterized by suburban/semi-rural development, both residential and some commercial. The district is framed by Route 8, a north south road running through the eastern part of the district and Route 79, which lies just west of the district boundaries. These roads create great access to this part of Allegheny County and are a major factor in the growth of the district.

The district provides a future-focused approach to planning and operations, thanks to strong leadership by the board, administrative team, teachers and non-teaching staff coupled with strong participation from teachers, students and community members.
