The vision of the Nottingham Economics Society is to create economic awareness among students in the University of Nottingham Malaysia. We believe in playing a role in helping students think like economists and creating a platform for students to analyse and discuss relevant contemporary issues.
Nottingham Economic Society (NES), formerly known as the Economic Student Society (ESS) was founded in 2011 with the objective of integrating the small community of dedicated professors and talented students from School of Economics.
In 2016, the committee decided to expand the society by opening the society to students of all faculties and have shifted our focus to be a platform to inspire and educate students about economic and related issues.
Some of our key activities includes Political and Economic Dialogues (PED), Industrial Talks, and Public Forum conferences. Nottingham Economic Society is honoured to have many esteemed industrial speakers from World Bank, Khazanah, and Employees Provident Fund (EPF), etc. to join us in our past events.
