Sofie is the author of Leveraging the Power of the Internet and Your Social Strategy, she has also created and delivers the popular and sought after business seminar series: Leveraging the Power of the Internet. Sofie delivers her seminar series to 100s of professionals each month. For the past decade, in both the Winter and Summer terms, Sofie lectures on the same topic, to a "sold out" third year class, at Trent University. Sofie is recognized as a leader in various groups including; economic development, Chambers of Commerces, small business enterprise centers, and the online business community. She has helped an outstanding number of businesses and communities exceed their online marketing goals, as such, she is now sought after for her online marketing seminars and services in each of these circles. Sofie holds her undergraduate degree in Computer Science and her Masters of Engineering in Information Systems from the University of Toronto. Sofie is a proud Rotarian, as well as on the Board of the Peterborough Showplace Performing Arts Center. Sofie designed, implemented and supported complex telecommunications projects through national teams for global clients while she worked for Bell Canada’s National Accounts as a Customer Systems Engineer, Project Manager, National Service Manager, National Operations Director & National Account Director. Has completed 10 half-marathons in the past few years. She has a passion for horses and loves traveling with her husband and dog.
