Owned by Birmingham City Council, our well developed public-private partnership means we bring together the industry experience of private sector experts and the public sector drive to support innovation, job security and growth. We provide access to flexible funding, up to the value of £5million, matching the needs of small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs); both locally in the Midlands and nationally around England. Currently we have three main business avenues: - Access to Growth Capital for SMEs - - Access to Property Investments - - Access to Sector Specific Funds - Launched in 2010, we started out with £10million of funds. We now have regional and national funds under management of circa £0.72billion. Working closely with several Councils and investing Enterprise Partnerships, we strive to support businesses to unlock their potential, to help economic growth and job security. Finance Birmingham was originally set up in the wake of the global finance meltdown, to provide new channels of funding for SMEs when high street banks created a major lending gap by becoming more weary and risk-averse.
