The mission of Lanco Federal Credit Union is to help members achieve their life's goals by promoting financial health and providing affordable access to credit.
Lanco Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution. This means that Lanco FCU returns excess earnings to our members in the form of competitive dividend rates paid on savings accounts, competitive interest rates on loans, and the addition of valuable products and services.
Lanco FCU began in February 1965, when a group of teachers chartered the Lanco School Employees Federal Credit Union to serve the financial needs of school district employees in Lancaster County, PA. In December of 1977, the credit union's name was amended to Lanco Federal Credit Union. A community charter was adopted in 2001, extending membership eligibility to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Lancaster County. Since 1965, Lanco FCU has grown to serve over 10,000 members at four branches throughout Lancaster County.
