The Park School of Buffalo is an independent, co-educational, college prep school serving students from PreK through Grade 12. Our picturesque, 34-acre campus is nestled within a commercial and residential district in Buffalo’s first tier suburb of Amherst, NY. Park was founded in 1912 by a group of parents committed to excellence in education and inspired by the philosophy of John Dewey. Accredited by the New York Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS), Park has been a leader of progressive, project-based education in Western New York for 100 years.
From our nurturing preschool and elementary school, to our socially responsible and inclusive middle school and college prep high school, Park offers a rigorous academic curriculum. Our educational culture emphasizes empathy, compassion, social awareness, and a sense of belonging to a tightly-knit, multicultural community. With small class sizes and an average 8:1 student to teacher ratio, each student has ample opportunity to learn through experience with personal attention from dedicated teachers.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Park School engages the whole student in a diverse and creative community that nurtures the joy and responsibility of active learning in all, from our youngest learners to our graduates, who leave with the skills essential to college success and the confidence to serve and lead.
