The Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC) is the advocacy organization for eating disorders. We advance the recognition of eating disorders as a public health priority throughout the United States.
The EDC works to promote federal support for improved access to care, to increase funding and support for scientific research on the etiology, prevention, and treatment of eating disorders, and to promote initiatives that support the healthy development of children. The EDC mobilizes concerned citizens to advocate on behalf of people with eating disorders, their families, and professionals in the field. We host Congressional Briefings and National Lobby Days for advocates from across the country to come together on Capitol Hill to promote eating disorder related policy.
