Officially opening as Queens Botanical Garden in 1948 after local residents saved and grew the original exhibit, QBG has become a 39-acre urban oasis in one of the city’s most bustling and diverse neighborhoods. QBG is an urban oasis where people, plants and cultures are celebrated through inspiring gardens, innovative educational programs and real-world applications of environmental stewardship.
