Highlands Regional Medical Center is a 184 bed (166 acute care/18 subacute), not-for profit, community owned and operated healthcare facility. Our hospital is located in the scenic mountains of eastern Kentucky between the communities of Prestonsburg and Paintsville. Located midway between Paintsville Lake and Jenny Wiley State Park, Highlands Regional Medical Center is surrounded by a wealth of natural beauty and outdoor recreation.
Highlands provides healthcare services to a number of counties including Floyd, Johnson, Martin and Magoffin with a combined population of over 90,000 residents. Our reach extends much farther however, to more than ten surrounding counties whose residents travel to Highlands to receive specialty medical services available at Highlands and Highlands Clinic.
