Since 1991, the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation has worked in partnership with the Wisconsin Veterans Museum to provide educational opportunities and services designed to tell the stories of Wisconsin's service members and to illuminate the role they played in shaping this nation's history.
Each year the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation provides in excess of $100,000 in direct support of exhibits, programs, publications, preservation efforts, and artifact purchase. As a 501 (c)3, the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation is able to do so through tax-deductible donations received from individuals, corporations and businesses; grants from private and corporate foundations; grants from such agencies as the Wisconsin Humanities Council; and individual bequests.
The mission of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum is to acknowledge, commemorate, and affirm the role played by state veterans in America's military past by means of developing instructive exhibits and other educational programs. The Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation supports the Museum by raising funds to help build exhibits, create educational programs, and acquire collections. While the State of Wisconsin provides funding for staff salaries and space rental, exhibits and programs are largely funded by the contributions made by private donors to the Museum Foundation. The Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation offers giving options that provide an opportunity for you to support the Museum and its programs.
