The Rachel Quinn Children's Foundation was created to empower children through their education and acts of kindness. We start by supplying students in need with backpacks and the supplies to kick their year off right. By providing quality products that match those of their classmates, we empower kids to be enthusiastic about their new year and ready to absorb what their class has in store.
Our namesake, Rachel Quinn, was an elementary school teacher in the Hauppauge school district of Suffolk County, New York. The same district she attended as a child, before pursuing a teaching career and obtaining her Masters degree. Rachel dedicated her life to teaching kids and instilling the value of kindness in all her students. She was known to gauge her classes success, not just in test scores, but in the compassion and empathy they showed to one another and their community.
At the end of the 2021 school year, Rachel left her class to begin her maternity leave when a hidden health condition tragically took her life. With the great loss of a wonderful educator, whose career ambition was to improve the lives of children, it is our mission to preserve her legacy by launching The Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation.
