The Cambridge Food Bank offers food and support to people and community groups in need within Cambridge and North Dumfries. We offer programming that has a focus on nutrition, health, and chronic disease. We have increased the amount of healthy food offered to participants, including special diet and culturally appropriate food - actively seeking participant feedback regarding food preferences. We respect all people equally and strive to build health and belonging through food. Our vision is a compassionate, equitable community where everyone is nourished.
Last year, our Emergency Food Program provided 15,851 Emergency Hampers to participants. We also distributed 1,038,230 pounds of food to our participants and community agencies. We partner with community agencies to support access to health and nutrition close to participants' homes.
