The ongoing mission of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce is to promote economic opportunity through business and community leadership and to enhance the social and civic environment of Newport Beach. The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce is a business organization of almost 700 members representing over 20,000 employees. The Chamber - with its five councils, committees, staff and valuable members - works with city officials, local businesses and the community at large to promote the local economy. Our foundation is based on Connectivity, Education, Community and Advocacy. Within that mission statement, there are several elements, but first and foremost, we serve as the voice of business in Newport Beach. We are a membership organization that has been in existence since 1907 who believes in the importance of creating a sense of community among local businesses. Our members are from every industry, large and small, old and new, from home based business just starting out to very large businesses with thousands of employees. To accomplish its mission, the Chamber relies on the efforts of our members, our Board of Directors (which reads like a who's who list of the business leaders in Newport Beach), volunteers and the generosity of companies who sponsor our events.
