Benefacts Legacy DAC promotes the values, disseminates the data and other assets of the Benefacts project 2015-2022, and works with others interested in making Ireland's nonprofit sector more transparent and more accessible.
LEGACY WEBSITE
Besides the company's own Directors' reports and financial statements documenting the seven-year project, the legacy website includes all of Benefacts sector analysis reports between 2017 and 2022 and the raw data on which they were based. Also available is a file with data published in 2021 on the Benefacts Who Funds What website, documenting the itemised grants totalling €7.4bn from 9 public bodies under 45 grant programmes, using data derived from the public bodies in question.
DIRECTORY OF IRISH NONPROFITS
In the first half of 2023, Benefacts Legacy cooperated with a number of Irish philanthropies and nonprofits to develop and launch a free online Directory.
This will be updated in March 2024.
The Directory of Irish Nonprofits is the only source of a classified base register of nationally-registered nonprofit organisations (some registered as charities) that includes advocacy & representative organisations, arts, heritage & recreation bodies, political parties, membership or professional bodies & unions, religious and church bodies, schools, service providers, social enterprises.
