The Society promotes the conservation and restoration of island ecosystems, sustainable development of islands, and awareness of their vulnerability and vital importance to the planet's biodiversity. The organisation manages 1 island Nature Reserve (Aride Island) and currently operates conservation centres on 4 other islands (Alphonse and Desroches, Silhouette, and Farquhar).
