RSGB is a membership organisation, representing the interests of radio amateurs in the United Kingdom. It publishes a range of books and a monthly magazine, provides a wide range of membership services, and represents the interests of UK amateur radio to the UK spectrum regulator and internationally. Directed by a Board of Directors, it employs a small staff at its Bedford (UK) head office and is strongly supported by a range of volunteers who play a pivotal role in the delivery of membership services. RSGB is a founding member of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) the umbrella global organisation of national amateur radio societies.
