Emery Worldwide, A CNF Company, was an integrated air freight forwarder/carrier that provided services to over 200 countries, carrying mainly business-to-business parcels, packages, and freight shipments.
The company was formed in 1989 when Emery Worldwide was purchased by Consolidated Freightways (CF) and merged with CF’s pre-existing air freight operation, CF Air Freight. The combined company originally was named Emery Worldwide, A CF Company. Following a restructuring of CF in 1996, it was renamed Emery Worldwide, A CNF Company.
Business units included Emery Worldwide, Emery Worldwide Airlines, Emery Ocean Freight, Emery Customs Brokers, Emery Expedite!, and Emery Global Logistics.
The company’s freight forwarding operations were renamed/rebranded Menlo Worldwide Forwarding in 2002, and were sold to UPS in 2004.
