For over 150 years the Mash family has hand-selected the finest quality fruits and vegetables for the most prestigious kitchens. From the traditional to the exotic, our produce is perfectly picked and expertly packed for freshness and optimum flavour. Working in partnership with specialist growers here and abroad, selecting the very best offerings from Rungis, New Covent Garden, Barcelona and Milan, we are a key supplier to the world’s finest restaurants. We offer hand-selected, graded and specific offerings to all our customers, depending on their needs. Making over 700 deliveries on a daily basis from our BRC accredited premises in Park Royal. We deliver 6 days a week, tailoring routes to the demands of busy kitchens. Our Customer Services team is on hand 24 hours a day to help with any queries. Responsibility We're committed to being food and general waste-free. The Felix Project A London food waste charity who work to ensure that excess produce goes to those who need it most. Collections are made from Mash 5 days a week, taken to their depot then distributed to charities and kitchens in the city. Food Waste Any surplus food waste that isn't suitable for consumption is sent for the process of Anaerobic Digestion to produce Biogas (electricity) and fertiliser. Every tonne of food waste recycled by anaerobic digestion as an alternative to landfill prevents between 0.5 and 1.0 tonne of CO2 entering the atmosphere. Recycling We're committed to removing all general waste from our operation, with all cardboard, plastic and wood being recycled. In order to achieve this, we are working closely with a waste management consultant to ensure we're efficient and responsible in our approach to recycling. Water Rainwater is harvested and filtered on site before being distributed throughout the building. So far we've reused over 700,000 litres of rainwater! Solar Panels Energy generated from our solar panelled roof is used for internal lighting and charge points.
