AMR (Australian Market Research) was a successful Australian market research company operating nationally for over 25 years until the brand vanished as part of various mergers and acquisitions in 2018.
AMR was founded privately in 1984 and was sold to STW Group in 2007. In 2016, STW Group merged with WPP Global to become WPPAUNZ. AMR was subsequently merged with similarly STW-purchased Colmar Brunton Research. In 2019 WPPAUNZ sold a majority of Colmar Brunton along with Kantar and other research assets to Bain Capital.
