Located on a magnificent site in Auckland and equipped with impressive facilities, Sacred Heart College is a leading Catholic boys’ school offering an all-round education for Years 7-13.
Since its founding by Marist Brothers in 1903, the College has built an outstanding tradition of success in academic, sporting and cultural activities. Old Boys of Sacred Heart are numbered among New Zealand's top musicians, academics, artists, sportsmen and religious and civil leaders. Students of the College form strong bonds that endure well beyond their school years, and many Old Boys are actively involved in College life today through social, sporting and cultural events.
The College has a roll of just over 1200 students, who come from diverse economic, geographic and ethnic backgrounds, including International Students. A 170-bed hostel caters for students who need to live onsite.
Our staff have high standards and expectations of every student. These include developing his spirituality, his academic potential, and his sporting and cultural abilities.
Parents are welcome as a vital part of College life. Regular communication and concerned pastoral care ensure that your sons are safe and their progress is carefully monitored. Together we work effectively to ensure that each student leaves Sacred Heart grounded in the Catholic faith, confident and prepared to be active in a changing and complex world.
