The concept originally came about during a meeting with the owner of a family business and a discussion about handing the reigns over, of which the owner had responded “I have no desire to do that just yet” and the idea was born. Today the idea has been shaped into a powerful community platform that will help people all over the world who are approaching, or are in their retirement years, and have either a financial or social need to find work, thus no desire to retire. The world needs No Desire To Retire because… Utilising the ever-growing over 50’s talent pool is a hot topic for the government as the ageing population is an unsustainable burden on taxpayers, and many over 50’s need to find work or simply cannot afford to retire. UK employers alone are expected to need to fill 13.5 million vacancies in the next 10 years but only 7 million graduates will be leaving further education – a shortfall of 6.5 million vacancies.
