We operate on the front line delivering educational programs that inform and empower.
Equipped with the desire to make a difference, a group of passionate individuals joined forces in 2012 to create BULLY ZERO™.
From that first day in 2012, the Foundation has worked tirelessly in creating a world free from bullying. A world where teenagers aren’t driven to suicide by tyrants online—where a workplace is a welcoming environment, not a place of anguish. Each new day, the Foundation continues work in making this a reality. Formed by senior members of the police force, volunteers, psychologists, lawyers, teachers, politicians and the families of bullying victims, the Foundation was unique in the driving forces of its team.
In 2009, prior to forming BULLY ZERO™, Ali Halkic’s son Allem tragically fell victim to cyber bullying. Through the determination of not wanting the same fate for another child, Ali successfully lobbied the Victorian Sate Government in erecting barriers along the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne—preventing hundreds of suicides as a result. Ali’s determination for change carried through in his work as director of BULLY ZERO™. Several years since forming and by April 2016, BULLY ZERO™ was seen as the fastest growing charity in Australia. To this day, BULLY ZERO™ is the only Foundation in Australia that delivers face-to-face programs by qualified teachers. These programs include cyber safety and bullying prevention programs that are delivered nationwide to schools, community groups, sporting clubs and workplaces. BULLY ZERO™ has delivered these programs to over 250,000 parents, children and teachers, received endorsements by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner and WorkSafe Victoria and delivered over three hundred bikes to children who have suffered hardship.
These achievements are possible thanks to the BULLY ZERO™ team as well as the community of Ambassadors, sponsors, businesses and general public that align with the goal of stamping out bullying.
