Marietta is a private, contemporary liberal arts college, with roots that date back to 1797 and the Muskingum Academy. Chartered in 1835, it is one of America’s 37 Revolutionary Colleges and has the 16th oldest chapter of the academic honorary, Phi Beta Kappa.
