Drawing on a network of anthropologists, economists and others, Anthropos is committed to finding solutions to the seemingly impossible problems that arise at the interface between economic development and sustainability. We only work on projects that we believe in.
Anthropos works with NGOs, governments, businesses and others . . . where the project is right. Large institutions and agencies can have a tremendous impact on our world. We help them to make a positive difference.
Anthropos takes a bottom-up- anthropological- approach to understanding economic, political, environmental and social risks. Global challenges are often manifestations of local problems. Effective local analysis sheds new light onto old risks.
Anthropos also runs internal research programmes as a private think tank focussing on meeting sustainability challenges. Key projects include our original affluence programme focussed on drawing lessons from traditional societies economic models to understanding the challenges of low growth and closed system economic challenges. We also run a multi-faceted programme in support of a range of Kalahari projects.
