SHIELD is an innovation and technology hub that supports young entrepreneurs, students, business owners, and community organizations in rural and urban informal settlements by equipping them with the necessary knowledge, resources, and network to pursue entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. SHIELD leverages Design Thinking and digital transformation programs to upskill the youth. Our goal is to create design thinkers and entrepreneurs who can collaborate to solve social problems experienced in their communities and in the process create jobs and improve the living conditions in their communities.
