The Orange County Tax Collector's office has been independently elected since it was established in the Florida Constitution in 185. The framers believed that local taxes are best collected at the community level through a local, elected Tax Collector who is more responsive and accountable to the citizens of the communities in which they are elected.
The Tax Collector's office is responsible to the citizens of Orange County for providing a wide range of services. The office collects and administers property taxes, tag & title registration, driver licenses and state IDs, business tax receipts and hunting & fishing licenses. These services are performed on behalf of more than 65 taxing authorities and state agencies.
Tax Collector Scott Randolph is committed to operating the office in the most effective and efficient manner. In his first two years as Tax Collector, the office has been recognized as one of the three most efficient tax collector offices in Florida. In 2015, we'll continue to focus on providing faster, even more efficient customer service by modernizing our locations with new technology improving interactions with the office.
