Mahindra Retail is an extension of the US $16.7 billion Mahindra Group's trading foray in the domestic India market. Apart from distributing toys, games and wellness products under licenses from various international brands ,Mahindra entered the retail market with a unique mother child venture called Mom & Me. The company’s initial stores were Jan, 2009. In a short span of time, Mahindra Retail successfully created a strong brand with pan India presence, operating 100+ Mom & Me stores across 45+ cities in India by 2012. In Aug, 2011, Launched toy store under the brand name Beanstalk, which is positioned as a neighborhood toy store. Successfully launched its e-commerce portal momandmeshop.in in December 2011, Mahindra Retail is also a leader the distribution business – manufacturing products under its own private label and manufacturing on behalf of other brands, either as a master franchisee or as a licensee.
