At the department of Organization Sciences (ORG) we focus on the intersection of organization and society, because we believe understanding organizations is key to addressing complex societal issues.
We are part of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) and have a multi-disciplinary team of researchers from diverse academic backgrounds, such as business administration, communication, psychology, sociology, anthropology, engineering, and health sciences.
Our research and teaching focuses on cultural and organizational change, cooperation and conflict within organizations, entrepreneurship and innovation, how we make sense of individual and organizational identities, and the impact of societal challenges on organizational dynamics.
We have a bachelor programme Bestuurs- en Organisatiewetenschappen (B&O) and two master’s programmes: Culture, Organization and Management (COM) and Beleid, Communicatie en Organisatie (BCO), which both have pre-master programmes.
