The Clinton-Macomb Public Library (CMPL) is a district library serving a rapidly growing population of 185,000.
Formed in 1992, CMPL directly serves all of the residents of Macomb Township and most of Clinton Township, with the exception of the portion in the Mount Clemens School District, which is served by Mount Clemens Public Library. CMPL is mostly funded by local property taxes from residents of Clinton and Macomb Townships.
CMPL is a member of the Suburban Library Cooperative, encompassing 20 libraries in the cities and townships north of Metro Detroit.
Our mission: Ensure CMPL is valued as an essential community service by focusing on the following strategic priorities:
1. Inspire life-long reading and learning
2. Grow young readers
3. Advance student success
4. Connect the community
