One of two schools created in 1926 when the University of Miami was first founded, Frost is one of the largest and best music schools located in a private university in the U.S., and one of the most comprehensive and relevant in all of higher education. Although founded in 1926, the naming gift from Dr. Phillip and Patricia Frost in 2003 was a historic occasion. In 2014, the Frost School of Music launched its online academic division, Frost Online, and since its establishment, has continuously strived to promote and amplify the educational impact of the Frost School of Music by extending its academic offerings beyond the campus to students everywhere; furthering the school's unwavering commitment to enhancing the future of music in higher education through progressive innovation.
