Gainsborough's House is the international Centre for Thomas Gainsborough and is now the largest gallery in Suffolk. After commencing a £10m building project in 2019, the house has since re-opened to the public with the transformational refurbishment now complete. With Thomas Gainsborough as its inspiration the House seeks to bring to life the art and ideals of Thomas Gainsborough along with his contemporaries and other followers: including John Constable and Cedric Morris.
