Fostering Change for Children is a non-profit organization that innovates and promotes positive change within the child welfare system. We aim to inspire new and different ways of thinking and working. Based in New York, our organization is dedicated to improving the lives of children, families, and the individuals that support them through the three programs it currently operates. Each of our programs is dedicated to improving permanency options for youth in the child welfare system. We strongly believe in collaboration and are always open to new ideas.
Adoptment - A specialized mentoring program that matches youth, who are currently in foster care or are adopted, with adults who were adopted and/or spent time in foster care.
Children's Corps - Inspired by Teach for America, Children’s Corps is enhancing the child welfare workforce through the specialized recruitment, selection, training, and support of new caseworkers. It's mission is to improve children’s chances for success by building a workforce of highly skilled and dedicated workers who have the potential to become leaders in the field.
Training - Fostering Change for Children provides trainings on a wide range of topics related to foster care and adoption, and partners with agencies and organizations to provide coaching and guidance around specific case or program issues.
