Our mission: To strengthen our community by responding to the basic emergency needs of individuals and families in St. Louis Park.
The St. Louis Park Emergency Program is a 501C3 nonprofit food shelf. Organized since 1975 we help St. Louis Park residents who need assistance with food, clothing, housing, transport and access to other community programs.
STEP serves 8% of the St. Louis Park population, almost 4000 people per year. We have professional social workers on staff who meet with every client in an effort to maximize the help they receive.
Our organization is made up of both paid staff and volunteers. Without the generous help of our community volunteers and volunteer board members STEP could not provide the services it does.
