Serving students since 1992, the John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship and the Department of Entrepreneurship in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University are internationally-recognized for their emphasis on strong academic research and immersive, real-world learning opportunities in startup and venture capital, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, corporate innovation and technology commercialization, and creativity.
Central to the design of our undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship degree programs is a belief in the transformative power of learning by doing to prepare students who are “job ready, day one.” Distinguishing features include a cross-disciplinary focus that engages more than 5,000 undergraduates from every major across campus annually in curricular and co-curricular programs that integrate effectively with the entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing students opportunities to gain practical, hands-on experience.
