The company was formed in 1999 and is owned and managed by Charleston Pathology, P.A., a professional pathology group founded in Charleston, SC in 1979. CPL is HIPAA compliant, CLIA certified, CAP accredited, and licensed by the state of South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for the practice of clinical and anatomic pathology.
