LiveSchool is a teacher-friendly tool for tracking, rewarding, and improving student behavior. What makes LiveSchool teacher-friendly? It’s built by teachers.
LiveSchool was created in Nashville, Tennessee, where our CEO, Matt Rubinstein, was a middle school teacher. Matt was instrumental in running his school's weekly "paycheck" system, where students earn paper bucks for positive behavior and trade them in for rewards and events.
While the students loved the system, the teachers found it difficult to manage the paperwork and manual tracking, which led to frustration all around. Matt recognized that this analog problem needed a digital solution, and thus LiveSchool was born.
In its first year, a mix of public, charter, and alternative schools signed up for LiveSchool. They used the tool to motivate students, foster a positive culture, and track behavior trends.
Now with more than 1,000 schools on board, LiveSchool continues to expand its team with passionate educators.
Today, our team of 22 full-time employees includes 12 former educators who work tirelessly toward one goal: removing the behavioral barriers to student success.
