Openwork is an independent software vendor (ISV) which develops tools to support business experts in creating application solutions, without the need for technical knowledge and using everyday language.
Elements such as model-based development, the use of everyday language, easy sharing and reuse of knowledge and reuse of tools available online are the pillars of the Openwork methodology.
The main objective of the Openwork methodology is enabling anyone to rapidly progress from imagining their application solution, to implementing it and making it available for use.
Openwork is the first italian vendor to produce workflow technologies. In February 2007 Openwork received in Nashville the Gold Award for Excellence in BPM & Workflow for best BPM project in Europe. In 2013, Gartner Inc., the world's leading IT strategic consultant, researcher and analyst has included Openwork in its annual report "Cool Vendors in PaaS" as one of the few high productivity PaaS vendors. In June 2015, it was awarded, in Washington, on the occasion of the 'Global Awards for Excellence in Case Management in 2015' for BPM application in health care technology developed by Crikhet, a network of companies of which Openwork is the leader.
